Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway to open this month of April 2022

The long wait is almost over! Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) is about to unlock its passage to vehicles and motorcycles with 125cc and up. President Rodrigo Duterte will lead the opening on Wednesday, April 27th . The CCLEX project is built in hopes of addressing traffic congestion and occluded roads. This iconic infrastructure is engineered to have two wide lanes linking from the mainland of Cebu city to Mactan Island passing through Cordova. This can accommodate approximately 50,000 vehicles helping the motorists to reduce travel time and potentially stimulate economic growth. This is a toll-operated expressway designed to use an all-electronic collection system, by which motorists are encouraged to have the  RFID sticker installed and have a secondary CCLEX RFID reloadable card for contactless transactions, but in the meantime, they do allow cash payments.  The use of the RFID system is said to enable detection of overloaded vehicles and traffic monitoring with h...

I am your Homebased Nomad! 💛

It's been awhile since I started blogging, back then when vlogging hasn't been introduced to the crowd, or perhaps only a few prefer to use video blogs. Now, YouTube is soo overrated. A lot of people vlog about anything and everything. Well, I admit -- I joined the crowd! Just last year, I created a vlog channel of my own and it's called, " Homebased Nomad ". I initially planned to do vlogs for my daughter, Kelsey, who's mostly into toy unboxing vlogs from YouTube by some famous content creators like "Kaycee and Rachel in wonderland", "Ryan's World" and a lot more. I even encouraged my husband that we can also create a family vlog like "The Bee Family", "Shot of the Yeagers", "Team Kramer", etc. but he's too shy to face the camera. (sigh) 😅  You might be wondering why Homebased Nomad? Well, it's pretty simple.. I actually work-from-home for almost 7 years now and despite that, I also love to trav...
110115 It's been awhile since I last written something out of nothing. Well, I've been busy with my life that I barely have time to rest. But, there are really some instances where I feel like writing... I may have not yet fully moved on with my pen and papers. What I notice about me is whenever I feel so emotional, I always wanna grab a pen an scribble it all till it's gone. I just can't fully describe it, but my thoughts burst uncontrollably that when I get to review my own writing, I'd realize "hey, this one's good!" -- not to brag. (hehe) Ironically, when I feel neutral, I can barely write a word. It's like when I try to write something... I'd quickly change my mind then cross out the words I started. Then, write again till I stop. Have you ever had that kind of experience? -klouise kim

MONEY is just around the corner!

"Crisis is All Over the Place" I don't really want to sell things just because I need cash ASAP. It's never been my attitude to pawn my stuff in exchange of temporary freedom from poverty. I buy things and preserve them definitely not for that purpose. I buy gadgets, jewels or whatsoever because I need them or I've got extra to afford them. All things I have are all products of my hard work and of course, I don't want to lose them all that easy. As much as possible I have to strive for overtime at work in order to cope with the things I have to patch up. Yeah right, it's really hard to deal with financial crisis... I almost want to give up. But hey? Money can always be seen... maybe not now but  SOONEST! :) Budgeting  is such a difficult task, especially if you have lots of maintenance, from the house amortizations, to the house maintenance and fare to get to work, etc. OMG! It's absolutely not an easy th...

The Second Josenian Media Congress 2013

The Congress was dated March 9, 2013 held at the Great convention of Mariner's Court, Cebu City. It was a whole day event set to promote and educate students on Public Relations. It was participated by students from different universities such as the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R), University of Cebu (UC), Cebu Normal University (CNU) and others. There were guests of related professions from big industries who came to tackle the topic. The first lecture was led by Ms. Jeanette Japzon from Cebu Holdings, Inc., who discussed  Corporate Communications. The subject was interesting because it clarified the idea of the difference between Public Relations (PR) from Corporate Relations in the usual advertisements.  The basic functions of PR were identified and summarized into 3 categories: To inform ; To influenc e  and  shape . There were also videos presented with words of wisdom from brilliant people of different companies on how relevant Public Relationships a...

A Friend You Can Rely On

If you need a friend, just email me. I'm a person who's easy to contact. I'd love to share stories, experience and advice with you. I believed in the quote: "If you feel like you're carrying the whole world, always think that there's someone else who has a heavier load than you." So, don't ever feel alone, you have God and your friends. Don't be afraid to move forward and learn. Don't hesitate to approach me. I'd be more than willing to help except for financial concerns. Haha. We do have issues about that, too. 😆 You can contact me through my email: klouise25kim@gmail.com. :) God bless!

I am a Liacomer - My OJT experience at Cebu Holdings, Inc.

It seems like yesterday when I was just a first-year student at the University of San Jose - Recoletos (USJ-R). Everything in college is a lot different from Elementary and Highschool. In college, there is stuff to think about like which program to choose, what subjects and schedules to enroll in, where to stay during vacant hours, which friends to be with, even what clothes to wear on Wednesdays (Washday).  Now, I'm at that stage where I need to pick which company to apply for an internship. This is that part of my college life where I need to decide what is relevant to my dream job.  I am a Liacomer majoring in Communication and Marketing -- which means I get to choose if I'd like to take my communication major more seriously or make marketing my number one focus for OJT.  Fortunately, I don't really have to choose between my two majors as I can take advantage of both sides per semester. That means, I may have a Communication internship in the first semester and Marketi...
