I am your Homebased Nomad! 💛

It's been awhile since I started blogging, back then when vlogging hasn't been introduced to the crowd, or perhaps only a few prefer to use video blogs. Now, YouTube is soo overrated. A lot of people vlog about anything and everything. Well, I admit -- I joined the crowd! Just last year, I created a vlog channel of my own and it's called, "Homebased Nomad". I initially planned to do vlogs for my daughter, Kelsey, who's mostly into toy unboxing vlogs from YouTube by some famous content creators like "Kaycee and Rachel in wonderland", "Ryan's World" and a lot more. I even encouraged my husband that we can also create a family vlog like "The Bee Family", "Shot of the Yeagers", "Team Kramer", etc. but he's too shy to face the camera. (sigh) 😅

You might be wondering why Homebased Nomad? Well, it's pretty simple.. I actually work-from-home for almost 7 years now and despite that, I also love to travel and explore places even while working. Indeed, I'm a digital nomad -- this was my first pick when I created the channel name but sadly, it's taken! So, I thought of another catchy word that would somehow fit, and that's when I came up with "homebased nomad".

When my husband is on vacation, we use to travel, try out trendy restaurants, unwind and spend time with our daughter. We've always been doing that, may it be in hotels, resorts or places as long as we're together. Out of a random weekend, we checked-in at Seda Hotel, IT Park.. As usual, we were site seeing, taking pictures, observing the place, amenities and food. From there, my husband and I just randomly recorded a video showing the place -- as if we're giving a mini-tour of the area. Yes, you read it right, it was just random, unplanned, no scripts -- just plain blabber but we enjoyed it! 💛

We were amateurs, actually, even until now and we're still "a work in-progress". My husband does the editing while I think about the content to create, do the talking and relay stuff on-cam. I picked a niche that I can possibly deliver. It is about random stuff, such as travel, lifestyle, unboxing items and work-from-home ideas, may it be tutorials or anything under the sun.

My goal is number 1, to record wonderful experiences and have a keepsake. Number 2, to share ideas to people, especially now that most of us tend to search on social media for reviews prior to visiting places or trying stuff. Number 3, of course, to learn how to edit and capture pictures and videos properly. I believe, my third goal would not just let me learn but would help me lengthen my patience cuz' I am such an impatient person. 😆😇

How about you? Are you planning to create some content? How did you come up with a YouTube channel name? 😉💚

MONEY is just around the corner!

"Crisis is All Over the Place" I don't really want to sell things just because I need cash ASAP. It's never been my attitude to pawn my stuff in exchange of temporary freedom from poverty. I buy things and preserve them definitely not for that purpose. I buy gadgets, jewels or whatsoever because I need them or I've got extra to afford them. All things I have are all products of my hard work and of course, I don't want to lose them all that easy. As much as possible I have to strive for overtime at work in order to cope with the things I have to patch up. Yeah right, it's really hard to deal with financial crisis... I almost want to give up. But hey? Money can always be seen... maybe not now but  SOONEST! :) Budgeting  is such a difficult task, especially if you have lots of maintenance, from the house amortizations, to the house maintenance and fare to get to work, etc. OMG! It's absolutely not an easy th...
110115 It's been awhile since I last written something out of nothing. Well, I've been busy with my life that I barely have time to rest. But, there are really some instances where I feel like writing... I may have not yet fully moved on with my pen and papers. What I notice about me is whenever I feel so emotional, I always wanna grab a pen an scribble it all till it's gone. I just can't fully describe it, but my thoughts burst uncontrollably that when I get to review my own writing, I'd realize "hey, this one's good!" -- not to brag. (hehe) Ironically, when I feel neutral, I can barely write a word. It's like when I try to write something... I'd quickly change my mind then cross out the words I started. Then, write again till I stop. Have you ever had that kind of experience? -klouise kim

A glimpse of me and my writing..

Let's start with the getting to know period. . . I am Kim L. Santos. .. my friends call me "Kimmy" or "Klouise". But, I prefer being called "Klouise" cuz' it sounds unique. I'm a college student and working for my dreams! Naturally, I love writing. You know what? Whenever I get bored in class, I write something in my notes in line with essays, poems, and stories. However, I write depending on my mood. If I feel sad or mad -- writing, for me is the best way to throw out my emotion. I only discovered my passion for writing when I randomly joined an essay writing contest. Back then, our class had to choose a representative to join the school's essay contest for all levels. Out of the blue, my adviser called my name and asked me if I can do it. I was hesitant, of course! I didn't have much experience. I only write in my diaries and during essay exams (it is asked usually at the last part of the exam), other than that, I have no exp...
